Abstract
Point of care testing (POCT) is rapidly becoming a widely used technique in chemical pathology and the broader practice of medicine. It contributes significantly to reducing laboratory turnaround time (TAT) and improving the quality of emergency care, though it faces specific challenges such as cost and the need for rigorous quality control.
