Abstract

This report highlights the severe complications that can arise from mismanaged traditional medical practices. A 17-month-old child presented with gangrene and auto-amputation of the fingers after Erb Palsy was misdiagnosed as a fracture by a traditional bone setter. The authors call for improved public health education and integration between traditional and orthodox systems.
